3. Check whether the roster shows the facility, because SWVRJA has four jail sites.
4. Open the profile or detail view for booking number, charges, court date, bond, warrant, case number, and custody status if those fields are public.
5. If there is no result, check spelling, release status, VADOC, BOP, ICE, Virginia VINE, and Virginia courts.

Tazewell County Booking Process

A booking begins when a Tazewell County deputy, town police officer, Virginia State Police trooper, another agency, or a court order sends a person into jail custody. Staff record identity, custody reason, charges or holds, warrant or case numbers, property, booking-photo and fingerprint steps, medical or mental-health screening, and classification. SWVRJA uses Smart Communications for phone accounts, debit phone accounts, voicemail, electronic messages, tablets, kiosks, and remote video. Ordinary postal mail is scanned through MailGuard, then made available on the inmate's kiosk or tablet. Original ordinary mail is destroyed after scanning, so do not send irreplaceable documents or photos unless a copy can be destroyed.
